UAE traffic: Commuters delayed between Sharjah and Dubai

The morning commute was a struggle for some drivers in Dubai. The National

Slow moving traffic was reported today on many roads with the usual congestion on E311 Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Road from Sharjah Industrial Area 13 to Nad Al Sheba in Dubai and on E11 Al Ittihad Street from Al Nahda 1 to Al Khabaisi.

Commuters should also expect delays on E611 - Emirates Road from Al Atain to Al Eyas, on D67 - Al Manama Street from Warsan 4 to International City and on E66 - Dubai/Al Ain Road from Academic City to Liwan.

More traffic delays are expected on E311 Emirates road towards Abu Dhabi due to a stalled truck, Dubai Police said.

Motorists are advised to take an alternative route due to an accident after Global Village, towards Abu Dhabi.

In Abu Dhabi itself, moderate queues were reported on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street from Gate City to Abu Dhabi and On Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street.

Police in the capital are urging drivers to be cautious due to an accident on E22 Abu Dhabi-Al Ain road before Mahwi Bridge towards Al Ain blocking the left lane and causing delays.

Another accident on Fatima Bint Mubarak Street/Hazza Bin Zayed Street is blocking the right lane and causing heavy traffic delays.
